Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE)

The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is conducting a pilot test of multiple-choice items and constructed response (essay) items that may appear on future test forms for the Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE) testing program.

Eligibility Requirements for Participation

Participants may only take CEOE pilot tests for which they are qualified. To be qualified to take a pilot test, participants must be juniors, seniors, or graduate students preparing for certification in that specific field, OR individuals recently certified in the field, seeking certification in that field through an alternative route, OR be an individual who recently received teacher certification in Oklahoma and has no more than 3 years’ teaching experience in that field.

Educator preparation faculty are not eligible to participate in the pilot test.

Current Pilot Test Opportunities

  • CEOE English (select PTCE207 when scheduling)
  • CEOE Family and Consumer Sciences (select PTCE109 when scheduling)

Advantages of Participation

You will have the opportunity to view and respond to questions that may appear on future test forms for the Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE) tests.

Upon completion of a pilot test form, participants are offered a choice between a $75.00 Amazon gift card or a $100.00 CEOE test voucher that may be applied towards future CEOE testing fees. Participants that complete the Principal Comprehensive Assessment or Superintendent constructed response only pilot test are offered a choice between a $100 Amazon gift card or a $125 CEOE test voucher. Test vouchers are non-transferable and expire 1 year from the date of issue. Incentives are issued upon verification of the acceptable completion of each test form*. Your incentive will be sent to your email address approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the pilot testing window. You will not receive a score for this pilot test, nor does it count towards certification.

Other advantages of pilot test participation include:

  • providing input into the test that will be taken by future educators,
  • gauging professional knowledge by taking actual test items, and
  • gaining practical testing experience.

*Please note: To be eligible for an incentive, participants must be qualified in the specific field for which they are taking a pilot test and they must complete the pilot test as instructed. Participants will not receive an incentive if they have not attended to all points asked for in each assignment and demonstrated that they have knowledge and skills in the subject matter area. Additionally, pilot test participants must correctly answer at least 30% of the multiple-choice items and complete the constructed response items. Participants may take up to two (2) pilot test forms. Additional incentive requests beyond two (2) pilot test sessions will not be honored.

Approximately 20 minutes of the session are dedicated to the presentation of a computer-based testing tutorial and a short survey.
